HISTORY

The Blue Cafe originally opened in Long Beach on July 3, 1992. We have since moved to a new multi level venue located at 217 Pine Ave in Downtown Long Beach.

Some of the National Acts that have played at The Blue in the past:

The Blasters, John Doe, Dave Alvin, The Dwarves, The Vibrators, Angry Samoans, D.I., The SuperSuckers, The Dickies, The Mentors, Agent Orange, Battalion of Saints, Total Chaos, Uli Roth, Steven Adler of Guns & Roses, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Sublime, Pepper, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Poncho Sanchez (2 time Grammy winner in Latin Jazz), Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Warrant, Carl Verheyen of Supertramp, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim of The Stray Cats, Long Beach Shortbus (Sublime), Sugar Hill Gang (Rapper's Delight), Canned Heat from Woodstock, Big Sandy and his Flyright Boys, Atomic Punks (Van Hallen Tribute), Wild Child (Doors Tribute), Iron Maidens (Female Tribute), Thund-Her-Struck (Female AC/DC Tribute), Escape (Journey Tribute)
